ALEXANDRA BLAINE PARTRIDGE

Musician. Artist. Beautician.

Alex 2.jpg

ABOUT

Currently, Alex works as a William R. Kenan, Jr. Fellow for the education team at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts. Throughout this year-long residency she will grow her knowledge of teaching artistry, arts administration, and event presentation and production. This includes the opportunity to nurture her skills in both visual arts and horn performance, closing out the fellowship with an original production premiering, June 2025.

Alex has enjoyed an active freelance career throughout North Carolina, Louisiana, and Florida, playing in orchestral, wind band, opera, and ballet settings on french horn. She earned her Master of Music from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, May 2024 and her Bachelor of Music Performance from the University of South Florida, May 2021. In 2022 she attended Alexander Paul Institute of Hair Design in order to advance her skills as a beautician; she will soon be a certified full specialist cosmetologist in New York state.

As an artist, Alex aims to break boundaries. She is building towards a future as a creative consultant for artists, and as a producer or director of collaborative events. She believes the more outlets one has for self-expression, the more joyful a life they will live. This inspires her passion for multidisciplinary art. Her work experience is not only as an orchestral performer, but as a commissioned visual artist, hair and makeup artist, brass and arts integration instructor, graduate student mentor, and stagehand: building props, painting sets and backdrops, and assisting with stage management and preparation of events.
